I agree but sometimes its cool to just play a quick game sitting around the house without breaking out the controller and turning on the big TV. It really comes in handy while on family get togethers. I have also heard that once you have kids that hand held devices are priceless...
I've also heard that portable devices for those who are gaming addicts are good for those quiet moments upon one's throne, if you know what I mean.
Also its also a good alternative in case someone else is currently using the TV in which the consoles are connected to.
I know that it seems like Nintendo is pumping out about a bajillion different flavors of DS right now, so I am wondering how much do people actually use their Portable Playing devices, and when they use them. I've talked to a couple of people and they're really not for any portable device because they are either driving themselves to work, so no time during transport, or they have a console hooked up to a very nice TV and they don't want to play a game on such a small screen when they could be playing on a large screen, with a game that might have more to it.
