Microsoft and Sony: No New Systems Until 2014

The Online gaming site Kotaku is reporting that both Sony and Microsoft are looking to hold out on new consoles at least until 2014. The website is using information gathered from an unnamed source claiming knowledge of the two companies dealings. This news should not be a huge surprise considering both the PS3 and Xbox 360 can be given updates through the internet, and both companies just released new hardware in the Playstation move, and Xbox Kinect. The question that arises from this information is, will Nintendo get a boost for a new system that is suposedly in the works? Of course, this is all speculation right now, and nobody really knows what Sony and Microsoft are thinking.

With the release of the Kinect and the Sony Move, this doesn't seem very surprising. I mean, it took them a few years to release the motion controls after the Wii came out. Let Nintendo continue to innovate, and we can see Microsoft and Sony emulate them.
