BioShock Infinite Delayed

Well I can't say I'm too surprised as it seems to be the common practice now with solid games. If there's a big enough issue, or there is something that needs to be tweaked, the game is going to be delayed, and that's exactly what has happened. So instead of the October date, the game is now aiming for February 2013. Now the head man on the BioShock franchise has decided to come out and also announce that this game will be going dark until release. So there shouldn't be any new news, no nothing, which tells me that perhaps something big is happening with this game. Hopefully it will be for the better, but I guess we'll all have to wait and see. I'll keep my pre-order though.

It's kind of funny how you start off by mentioning delays is common with solid games. Perhaps there's a reason for that- quality games simply require time to polish and make sure they're quality. Just look at Blizzard who delays and delays their releases until they are solid gold. Then you have a game like Elementals released way too early and now I'm hesitant to purchase another game by Stardock in case the same thing happens again.
I would rather companies delay their games until they are truly ready for release rather than releasing them 3 months too early and are craptastic as a result.
With the ever increasing complexity of games today I think it makes sense that smart companies will try to give the developers more time to fix the game. Now of course that's not something that every company can do. Hopefully this will allow Bioshock Infinite blow our minds away.
