Well it would appear that Nintendo's latest and greatest console still isn't doing so hot. Apparently there was a big announcement about EA and Nintendo forming one hell of a partnership to bring some AMAZING games to the console. Well EA was asked recently what is on the docket for them and it would appear that they are focusing on the Frostbite 3 engine, which will be used for all the Star Wars titles they hope to release. Well there's a small problem with that statement, that problem is that the FrostBite 3 engine has NO WII U support in it. That's right folks it would appear that EA is starting to distance themselves from the latest Nintendo console.
Now some of you might remember Nintendo's not so subtle hint of getting people to switch from the Wii over the the Wii U, you remember, that time they started turning all of their dashboard apps off so that you couldn't use them again? Well here's the ironic thing, in the past month the WII has outsold the Wii U. That's right you didn't hear me wrong, the system they are trying to shutdown outsold the newer system. All I have to say is that does not bode a lot of confidence in me for this latest product.
The real funny thing is that there are those higher uppers for Nintendo who think if given a bit of time it can excel. Well here's the problem, you had a lead getting your product out first, but once the PlayStation 4, and I'm hearing the XBOX Infinity, come out you're either going to sink or float, and as it stands now it appears Nintendo is going to try to float a 3000 lbs boulder.
