Apple IPod Touch and I-Phone Games Found

So I've been scouring the internet to get some of the games that are out there reviewed and accessable in one place. I have just now found a whole new batch of games that I will be reviewing shortly and throughout the day.

Review Time

Well I think that its safe to say that I can start doing a back catalog of the games that I have played, I know that the might not be the most up to date games, but there are always those out there that are looking to find info on a slightly older game. There is one type of game that I'm really not going to be back logging, and that's old sports games. There's really not a point to it for anyone that wants to get a cheap sports game that is probably solid just look at the games that are coming out every year and then choose an earlier version.

I will start with the newer ("next-gen") systems.

Second Round:

I started to look into this site for my next dive into the i-pod touch/i-phone games, but to be honest most of these game aren't going to work on the hardware. Also Some of the games listed are other companies rights, I saw ones for popcap, microsoft, and nintendo.

I have since re-evaluated the site and have posted my findings for a good number of their games. I would like to say that the games are playable on the hardware but they will require zooming in or out on the users part to utilize all that the game has to offer.

If you want to check it out just click below

First Round of Apple I-Pod Touch/I-Phone Games

Word Spell
- A game in which you use the letters that you are given (6) and try to correctly guess the words that can be made in two minute rounds the object of each round is to correctly make enough words to score over a set amount of points. ( 7 out of 10 )

Add It Up
- A game in which you are trying to remove the numbered squares while trying to obtain the target number that is given to you. ( 6 out of 10 )

- A basic card game where you have a pyramid of cards (7 rows). The object is to try to make pairs of cards whose values equal 13 (Sadly this game was broken, or I am truly failing in my math skills). ( 1 out of 10 )

- A version of 5 card draw. You have 5 cards face down you have to bet an amount and then deal. You get one round to redraw what cards you want if you make a winning hand (at least a pair) you win. You can continue to play until you run out of money in your "wallet". ( 5 out of 10 )

- You average run of the mill Solitare game, this game was also broken as I couldn't place any Aces onto the open spots. ( 0 out of 10 )

- Its a pattern game. You have 5 peg spots and you have 5 different colored pegs (red, green, blue, yellow, and purple). It is the job of the user to deduce what the pattern of pegs will be to win. ( 7 out of 10 )

Chicken and Eggs
- This game has you trying to "catch" eggs as the chicken drops them from the top of the screen. You start off the game with 3 lives, and each level the chicken gets faster and is more likely to change directions at random. ( 8 out of 10 )

- This is the game in which you have to use the number 1-9 only once in a 3x3 grid, as well as only once going from left to right, and up and down. The game will give you the choice of an Easy game, Medium, or Hard. ( 6 out of 10 )

Word Seach
- This is your basic word search game. You'll have a select number of words that you have to find in the 12x12 grid of letters. The words can be up and down, left to right, diagonal, and backwards. ( 7 out of 10 )

Think Ahead
- This game pits you against a computer opponent. The object of the game is to remove the numbers from the board (the user can only remove numbers from the row with the yellow line on it) while trying to beat out the computer who can only choose numbers in the column from which the user last picked a number. ( 7.6 out of 10 )

Missle Command
- This is Missle Command, there's nothing I can really say that makes it different. You have a limited amount of missles that you will use to blow up the missles that are falling from the sky. Your objective is to protect the little domes at the bottom of the screen. (However this game was also broken so I expended all my missles without stopping a single missle). ( 0 out of 10 )

Maze Game
- You have to find your way out of a maze, sadly I couldn't seem to make the thing even move. ( 0 out of 10 )

Jigsaw Puzzle
- You get to put together a jig saw puzzle, there are two types of puzzles and Easy and a Hard. ( 3 out of 10 )

- This is another game where you are pitted against the computer. The object of the game is to capture as many pieces as you can. To do so you have to place your color (white) in a way where there the Computer's piece is in between, now there can be just one or as many as 6 it doesn't matter, all the pieces captured will become your color, the computer can then recapture some or all of them if they have one of their pieces on one side and can place another piece in the same row, column, or diagonal. The only downside to this game was that there was no clear way to restart and play again. ( 7.4 out of 10 )

Match Three
- The user has a screen filled with different shapes. It is their job to get rid of the shapes     by forming groups of three. You can only move one piece and it has to be to an adjacent spot (left, right, up, or down). ( 6,5 out of 10 )

Collapsing Blocks
- You are given a colorful grid of squares. When you select a certain color all of that color which are touching will be removed. The object of the game is to remove all the colors from the screen. If a row or column disappear the blocks will slide together. (Sadly the game is sometimes broken. As the columns don't always slide together.) ( 4.5 out of 10 )

Sliding Puzzle
- This is a puzzle game in which you have one empty spot in a 4x4 grid and you have to move         pieces around until the picture is formed. (I personally hate this type of puzzle so after a couple of minutes I was ready to punch a wall). ( 3.2 out of 10 )

- This is a game in which you have a grid of blocks and under some are mines. If you choose an empty spot it reveal some of the grid. There will be numbers that will some times appear. Those numbers indicate to the person that there is x amount of bombs adjacent (left, right, up, down, diagonal) from that position. The player is given the option of 6 different size grids (10x10, 12x12, 15x15, 20x20, 25x25,and 30x30). The downside to this game is the fact  that after surviving through the game and finding all the mines, the only way to actually be able to play again is by clicking on a mine. ( 4.3 out of 10 )

Knight and Squire
- The object of the game is to clear a room in a set amount of moves. You cannot go over a spot you have already been to, and if you move to a position where you can't further clear the room the game is over. You are given the choice of what level you'd like to start on at the beginning of the game. Unfortunately if you solve the room, you don't automatically move on to the next room. You are given a small line of text that states Level Solved! and then you have to click on new game to change the level manually. ( 7.2 out of 10 )

First Real Post on the new Blog

Alright so I didn't quite make a website, but it turns out I don't know a thing about web design. So Here I am sort of being a traitor if you want to call it that.

This site just has a better flow to it, and as so I'm going to be moving all my focus to this one, I know that I was starting to get a bit of a following over at the blogspot address, but hopefully they will be able to figure out the link I left them there to get them over here.

Today has been a crazy day, I feel like I'd done a million and one things. Sadly however I did fail to get any job applications out so I'll have to work on that one in the near future. On the bright side though I think I've been able to refine my focus, with the help of another not so employed any more friend and colleague. I'd love to go into details but that would ruin all the fun.

I do regret the fact that I do not have a comic to post today, I guess I'll be focusing on that, reviews, and applications tomorrow.

Well I guess its off to bed with me, I know I'm lazy... and I'm sorry I can't power through more than a 13 hour-ish day.

Oh and by the way for the easy navigation just in case you get confused choose from the wonderful nav bar at the top of the page, you could press the categories if you wish but the nav bar makes it prettier ;)
