Altered Confusion to Present Panel at AndoCon

I'm happy to announce that Altered Confusion will be at AndoCon as a presenter of our growingly popular panel, The Destruction of the Game Industry as We Know It. Now of course if you are in the Atlanta area, this is your chance to catch the panel, just in case you missed it at MomoCon, or perhaps you did catch it but yearn for more, well come on up to Kennesaw, and you'll get to spend some time with us. Now the schedule is still a bit up in the air, but we do know for sure that we will be talking, and we will also be hanging out with the rest of the AndoCon crowd. So if you need that information that Zealeus gave on the convention again, here's a link to his post, and I hope to see all who can come there.

HOLY CRAP PAX PRIME REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Yes folks that title does deserve to be in all caps, and I'm glad that you agree with me. If you want to go to this year's PAX Prime in Seattle, WA (That's Washington, not DC but the one that is actually on the Pacific Ocean, just in case there was some confusion), then you better get over to the site now and buy your ticket(s). As much as it pains me to say this, I will not be going, I'm going to be at DragonCon hopefully at a Fan Table, and if my wildest dreams come true, I'll also be doing a panel there. So for you lucky people who want to have not three but FOUR awesome days of nerdiness (that's right they are now going Friday-Monday), you've got to get your ticket while they are still available. Now because of the extra day the price has increased on the tickets, but $95 for four days is not a bad deal at all, and knowing how much is packed into a PAX, I'd say you're getting one hell of a deal. So if you can't come to DragonCon to see us, but still want to go to an amazing convention, PAX Prime is for you.

Oh and as a reminder this convention happens August 30th to September 2nd.

Uberent to Show off In-Engine Demo for Planetary Annihilation

So I'm sure there are a ton of you out there who have been trying to keep up with Uberent's progress on their KickStarter project Planetary Annihilation, well they are actually going to allow a live peek at how things are running on the engine this Friday (4 PM EST) on Twitch.tv.  Now it won't be going for too long, about 15 minutes, but there will be a Q&A at the end of the presentation. If you can't make this viewing, just like I'm going to miss out on it, have no fear they will be uploading it to YouTube for everyone to view and stare at.

Double Fine Adventure Has a New Name

I think everyone thought that there would be a much more classy name for Double Fine's Kickstarter project, and you'd be right. They have just revealed that the name of the game will in fact be Broken Age. Now the real cool thing was that this name was chosen not only by those working on the project but also by those backers who are highly active on the forums.

They continue to move forward with their progress in the game, it appears that they are hard at work over some animation, art, design, well basically everything still, but it is always good to see that things continue to move forward especially on a project that got so much attention and set records on KickStarter.

    IGDA Atlanta Meetup Tonight

Hello all you lovely people in the Atlanta area. Would you like the chance to hang out with some like minded individuals and meet people in the industry or those trying to make it in? Well you're in luck. Tonight at a farewell gathering at Thurst Interactive, you can do just that. Now I'm not trying to say that Thrust is going away, but the CEO of Thrust has said that this will be the last time for the hang out to be at that establishment as they are leaving it. Once again though that doesn't mean that they are shutting down, but hopefully we will find out more about what happened tonight at the hang out.
