I feel your pain, and let me take a side step. I remember when we were first introduced to the Nintendo Revolution (name of a console, not an actually REVOLUTION!!!) and then they changed it to Wii. Then they were sporting all the awesome colors that you could have your Wii in (that sounds a bit naughty), and yet it is finally 2009 and we're seeing for the first time something that isn't white, but black, oh and its only for Japan (for now).
Now about Project Natal, I'll believe it after I've played the hell out of it. YES they say new console, I say HAHA the XBOX360 the way it should have originally been, hopefully without meltdowns.
We're just one step closer to Virtual Reality, which means we're one step closer to realizing my dream of actually playing the World, the game that the game .hack has you play. If you've seen the anime, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Natal looks sick if they can pull it off and integrate it into more than just chopping vegetables in "Cooking Mama Natal Edition", the first Wii port to a real console.
And what is with Nintendo or should i say Nintendaddon? We had the awesome N64 .....few years later N64 plus Rumble Pak..........few more years and N64 with Jumper Pak. Awesome new games and graphics abound for just a few more $$$ every now and then.
Gamecube.............. later Wavebirds.........a few years later DVD player.......oh wait! We never really got that one! Sorry.
Wii.......a few years later Wii plus new and better sensor bar! Wow, Gazooks and Zoinks! You need this! Never mind we didn’t ship this technology with the box you bought, but hey did we mention the original and now obviously inferior box was only $250.00?!?! Aren't we generous?! That's so Cheap!
A few years later we get Wii plus better motion sensor and now presenting ......Wii mote addons for better motion capture and control!!! Yes we know the original doesn’t have better sensor bars or super accurate motion controls........but hey for just $$$$ on this part and $$$$$ on these parts you can have the Wii we should have sold you. But then it wouldn’t have been as easy to sell so many units because the price wouldn’t have been $250.00.
Initial investment vs. cost of ownership is what i'm ranting about........still cheaper than the competition?
Whoever is planning all these Nintendo addon strategies has to be getting paid by the big N like a king! Can't really blame them though. Sell a system everyone (literally) wants. Then when everyone has one (because they were cheap in console terms) you introduce this new improvement to it that will be a better or sometimes only way to play new games!
Meanwhile everyone studiously ignores the fact that they bought this family console because it was the best fit for everyone and only $250.00. With the caveat of seemingly ongoing addons and expansions bringing the console up to where it should have been.
What are you going to do? Spend a few more bucks or abandon the system...........none of the customers I have seen even complained about it. They are eating it up.

To which I say, u huh! You know I bet you would be the perfect person to buy my beachfront property in Kansas City. I just can't get out there enough to justify keeping it anymore. Cash or PayPal only please.
