Boom Boom Rocket is a rhythm game for the XBOX Live Arcade where you, the user, have to press the direction of the arrows as they cross the line at the top of the screen, doing so will cause fireworks to go of. This game features a couple of updated classic songs that you will be trying to use your timing to master.
The graphics are simplistic, they look nice, and they don't take away from the main focus of the game. The fireworks that you use and gain all have a unique look to them and are pleasing to the eye.
The controls are very simple and as so is easy for anyone to pick up and after a round or two feel pretty comfortable with.
The gameplay as stated before is setting off the fireworks right on the line at the top of the screen, do this enough and start a combo, raise your combo high enough and you'll be score big points while getting to see fireworks go off in on the screen. There's always the wish for more songs when you've mastered all that there is to be seen, but I think that this game is a worthy addition to anyone's Live Arcade collection. 7.9 out of 10
