EVE Online (pt 2) Review

Well I've been at it for about a week now and I can safely say that if you stick wityh EVE Online and you discover that this is the type of game you like to play, like I did, then it is worth the grueling hours that you have to get through.
If you ever play the game let me impart some wisdom to you... after you are done with the tutorial (because let me tell you that doing the tutorial will not only help your understanding of the game but also give you some ISK(Money)) and you are ready to take on more missions try to do the courier missions or encounter missions that are coming from a -18 person. While you're doing that level up the skills that you want, such as your ship, gunnery, and navigation skills.
Also understand that this is a different type of adventure, once you get your skills up and play over a good amount of time the true game opens up to you. There is a lot more going on than first meets the eye but you have to be willing to go through the steps to get there. The best way to put it would be its like going through an interview, and you'll be going through one if you want to leave the corporation that you started with.
I think the toughest thing about playing EVE online is going into the game with preconcieved notions of "how is this going to be compared to X". If you go in there with the thought of "lets see what kind of world I can get immersed in" you'll find that the transition period is much smoother (at least that's my opinion).
My last thought is that you have to be aware that you are going to be losing ships if you try to become an instant Rambo so take your time, develop your skills, and the universe that is ever-growing and is called EVE waits for you.
