Lost Cities Review

Lost Cities is the latest addition to XBOX Live. It is yet another one of those games that no one's really heard of but if you like card games, and a challenge this game is meant for you. There is so much strategy involved in this game. You are given 5 separate locations on the board, each is color coded (yellow, blue, white, green, and red). You'll be charged with starting "expeditions" to some of these locations. You'll place cards in ascending order, don't worry it doesn't have to be exact it just has to happen where each card you place is higher than your previous card.

The graphics might not be the most mind blowing thing but when its a simple card game the important thing is that you can read the cards. The tricky part of the game comes with discarding cards and drawing cards because once the deck is empty the game is over, and when you start in an area you have negative points and have to put enough cards down to get into the positives.

The controls are really easy you're going to be using three buttons along with the left analog stick. The problem, at least for me,  is that once you get in a rhythm of how you want to play the game you might accidentally place a card instead of discarding it, so be careful and take your time with your selections.

This game even though simple makes me scream for an HD TV some of the cards numbers are a bit confusing to read and the tutorial text requires a bit of squinting to read. The part that sucks is that's the only reason why I'd need the upgrade.

Even though I've gotten my ass handed to me several times by the computer, I'm always eager for another round. So with that in mind I'm going to have to give this game a 7.9 out of 10
