A Kingdom for Keflings Review

thu_keflings_press_generic01

As a very inexperienced video game player I was really pleased when I found “A Kingdom for Keflings”. This game was created by nblogo150. Kingdom is fun, upbeat and not too complicated, which for non-experience slow learners is fantastic. The graphics are clear and bright with vivid colors and good structure. The music is light and fun and I never got sick of hearing it. Overall the game is not too challenging.

You are a giant brought in to help build a Kingdom for the Keflings, the people of the village. You, with the assistance of the Keflings build all of the homes, workshops, townhalls, and eventually a castle. As you build these buildings other blueprints are opened. Eventually you can paint the buildings, shear sheep for wool, and create magically potions from the gems of the forest. The great thing is even when you finish all of the blueprints you can paint the village with bright colors, knock down and move buildings around and decorate the kingdom with trees, flower and statues.

There are a few problems. They include the changing on the seasons, mainly winter to spring, summer to fall and fall to winter. I noticed that in the fall to winter season change also freezes for a few seconds. I don’t know if it is the change in music or the snow but it constantly freezes. Antoher problem is the controls. The Xbox controller gives you really great 360 controls but with this game you constantly have to correct yourself when trying to place a building piece.

Overall the game is very entertaining and fun to play. I really enjoyed it and may actually build a second kingdom sometime soon!!

Hey, thanks for the review! I'm glad you like it! I work for NinjaBee and I just wanted to mention that we made the game, not Rare. :)

And you would be absolutely correct, I think Jules has been playing a lot of games as of late, and with the jitters of getting out her first review got a little confused. Thanks for the comment, though.
