Aurora Feint 2 Review

Aurora Feint 2 is the supposed sequel to the game Aurora Fient. It is a puzzle game in which you will be matching blocks of at least 3 to obtain resources to create items, and master spells. Just like the sequel you will be spend the vast majority of the game in the mine, mining the resources that you need.

The graphics look a little bit better than the first games. I think its more with the effects that you see in the game, they seem polished, and really needed to be if it was going to be a game that you have to pay for. The character models are the same, the map(s) for the most part are the same, there is a world map that you can venture on to which you can learn techniques, rules, and such. There is a tavern that you can talk to other gamers in, and the arena (a seperate game, or addition to the game that will cost you the original price of the game).

The sounds are average, they're never going to wow you, or blow you away, but they are pleasant to listen to. There will be times where repetition will want you to listen to something else, but you're just going to have to fight through it.

The controls as before consist of sliding the pieces left to right on the screen with the use of the touchscreen. You will still be able to tilt the screen to change the playing field up so that you can make more matches.

The gameplay as mentioned before is all about matching and collecting resources. I've still yet to see the real point to collecting resources. I feel that some of the item pricing is set so high that you just have to play the game forever. I'm also playing the game mostly when I don't have an active internet connection, so the tavern really doesn't appeal or have a purpose for me. I do like the fact that there is places to gain further information on the game, but I really do despise the fact that a part of the game, that in my mind, would make it relevant you have to pay an addition fee for (AKA the Arena).

This game I had really high hopes for, and at first I thought that it would live up to my expectations, but as I continued to do the same thing over and over again, and finding that I rarely had the require resources to get new stuff, I found this game off-putting. As a result of the let down I had for this sequel to a game I'd rather play over it I give it a 5.9 out of 10.
