KarmaStar Review

KarmaStar for the i-Phone and i-pod touch is a hard game to classify. You will be playing the part of a character in outerspace. You and your opponents will be given random stats 5 differnt areas, and you will have 8 rounds of turns to try to score more points than your opponent. How do you score more points, well you can do it a number of ways, you can choose to boost a stat, play a wild card, or attack your opponent (if you fail to win the attack you don't get any points, but your opponent doesn't get any either).

The graphics are simple, they aren't going to blow you away, but at the same time they don't have to because its not the focus of the game. You're going to have the cartoony looking earth and all the characters are going to look the same, but with just slightly different colors.

The music and sounds fit perfectly with the game. Each stat has a slightly different sound, and you're going to have a dreamy type of space music playing constantly in the background.

The controls are touch the screen on the icon that you want to use, that's it. The thing is that with just that this game is very addictive.

As stated before the name of the game is scoring points and after 8 rounds the player with the highest amount wins. There will be games where the point totals will be well over 20, and then there will be the games where the points won't get higher than mid teens. Each time you play you get a slightly different experience. There are also achievements tucked away in the game, but as far as I know they really just show you what you've done, and don't give you any advantages in the game. There is also a Wi-Fi feature where you can challenge your friends to a game.

I have to say that this is a game that I think is flying under the radar that people need to pick up. The game is simple, relatively quick, and is something that I think many will constantly come back for. There will be times where you'll be screaming in horror as you are just edged out for the win, and there will be times where you will insult your enemy for losing so bad to you. Pick this game up if you have an i-Phone or a Touch. This game gets a 9.2 out of 10.
