Tiger Woods PGA Tour Review

Tiger Woods PGA Tour for the Apple i-pod touch/i-phone is, you guessed it, a golf game. You will have the ability to play 7 full 18 hole courses, customize your character, subtly, and get ridiculed or congratulated by the announcer.

The graphics look bad, its a very cheap imitation of 3D poly graphics. It is sometimes really hard to figure out what type of grassy surface you are currently on. Your character isn't going to be the most attractive person in the world. I think overall the graphics in this game feel primitive.

The sounds of the game at first sound great, but the constant belittling of the player, all thanks to the announcer has me playing the game on mute.

The controls take a bit to get use to. The easiest thing that I can relate this to is golden tee. You're going to have a power bar that your going to drag your finger back on and then thrust it forward. You're going to have the ability to select different golf clubs as well as different types of shots. You're going to find that the distance can be very deceiving when hitting a different type of shot.

So you are going to be able to make a personalized character, personalized being a very loose term. Through hitting the fairway and the green you can gain money that you can turn around and upgrade your character's performance with. The areas of improvement are in Power, Power Boost, Drive Control, Impact, Approach, Putting, Recovery, and Spin.

For the price tag associated with this game, if you're a golf fan, this game is a steal. Yes there is a lot of room for improvement, but overall the game is solid, and after you've done a bit of trial and error you are going to be able to grasp many parts of the game. This is a game where you're going to have to have patience, and if you stick with it you're going to have some fun. This game gets an 8.6 out of 10.
