Giant Metal Robot Review

Giant Metal Robot is an arcadey type of game for the i-pod touch/i-phone. It will be your job to make sure the Giant's Fists of Retribution (what I like to call them) destroy the enemies, but don't hurt the innocents. You will be using the tilt control of the system along with the touch screen.

The graphics give you a feeling of both nostalgia and that of early flash based games. You are going to be playing in a pixel world. The Robot is giant and is indeed metal. It is really easy to find out what you are and are not suppose to smash with your fists.

The music reminds me of atari games. Really simple sounds matched to a beat as you go through a stage.

The controls are really easy. You're going to tilt the screen back and forth to move your helpless victim, make sure you don't tilt it to far because she will take a suicidal jump. You're also going to be using the touch and move from top to bottom to drop the fists to crush the enemies.

There's not a lot to this game, but there is a bit of strategy that you're going to have to use to survive through the levels. Of course as you go on there will be more enemies, and there will be some new obstacles. Like I stated before this game is really arcadey, and to be honest once you've seen the first level you've basically seen what this game has to offer.

If you need a game to pass a bit of time during the day, and don't want to be overly stressed out. Try this game out. This game gets a 7.4 out of 10.
