Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 Review

I love me some Harry Potter, therefore I was super excited to see that Lego was developing a lego version of the first 4 Harry Potter films/books. I couldn't wait to play it and really hoped that it was going to really going to be fun! Thankfully it lived up to my expectations. I love it! I say love in the present tense as I am still playing it! I have finished the storyline but am back in free play trying to figure out where to find the hidden bricks and secret rooms. The story "lego-ized" is quite humorous and they definitely made sure that they cover the important parts of the movies within the game play.
The graphics are of course lego-style so it isn't anything to write home about but it gets the job done in a creative way. In all honesty I wasn't sure what to expect but as a relatively inexperience gamer I was able to handle the challenges with some help from my more experience husband. It was truly nice to play alone or with him. The one issue that we both ran into, which was a bit of an annoyance was accidentally jumping off the front of a level and dying. As a result we have played a couple levels additional times, trying to avoid the easy fall off points.
Overall I give this game an 8.2 out of 10 and can't wait for the game that covers movies 5-7 or 8!
