Alright so as I stated before I'm trying to get a more concrete schedule that will allow for a bit more lenience on my schedule. As of now I've locked in 2 days and there's a floating 3rd one in there.
Monday and Wednesday nights... I'm not going to say when to exactly expect them, but I'll say that you'll definitely be able to get your hands on them by the next day.

Alright just changed up the look just slightly for the webcomic, trying to improve the appearance so that you don't have to click on each comic to actually read it. Hopefully this will help out. I really wish there was an easy way to change all the other comics, but sadly I'm thinking that this is just going to start with this comic and go on from there.
I apologize for the inconvenience that the first 96 comics will give you, but please stick with us, and tell me if number 97 is much better.
Charlie
For those wanting me to redo the previous comics I have a slight problem, and that is if I redo them I'm going to have to rephrase some of the bubbles because as you can see I do get a bit long winded with my speeches. Though I really can't do that with the new format as its greatly restricting thanks to the increase in font size.
Charlie
Well as you've all seen there's only been 2 comics a week coming out, and I apologize for that. I'm currently trying to renovate my place on the weekends and it is taking a lot of time out of my schedule. I'd rather do the podcast over a comic during the weekend seeing as I do post on Monday and Wednesday.
I would really like to hear what people think of the subtle change. I know that the comic still looks better when you click on it and you see it at its full size, well that's because bigger is better, well to a point. I'm just glad that the bubbles can be read without clicking now.
Charlie
As most have you have discovered the 100th episode still is no where to be found. I got really sick on Wednesday so I really wasn't going to be able to get much work done, and then yesterday my new computer parts came in and I just HAD TO build the PC. Hopefully today or tomorrow I can get at least a comic out and make it into the TRIPLE DIGITS!!!
Charlie
Alright, seeing as I'm going on vacation next week, and I don't want to break at least the Monday, Wednesday release schedule I'm going to be making comics like mad this week, hopefully picking up the slack from the 3 day releases to 2 day releases back up to the 3 day releases. Wow did that confuse anyone else.
I'm going to try to get the schedule back on track where 3 comics a week are coming out, at least for the time being, but that means I've got some catching up to do as well as some advanced planning so that comics are coming out next week as well.
Charlie
Well I didn't get back to the 3 comics a week just yet, but it looks like connectivity is fine down in Florida where I'm vacationing, so the 2 comics this week are a go.
Charlie
Well I have to say this ranking thing for the comic confuses the hell out of me. Every time I update the comic my ranking goes way up as if the comic all of a sudden lost a ton of viewers, and then after a couple of days it returns to normal.
Then you have the other one where it doesn't say jack squat, and if you go to the site it never says that the comic updates.
And finally you have the last one, which I hope that more people who read the comic will start visiting on a daily basis, just like me, and voting for the comic to help give it a little push in the right direction.
Charlie
Well thanks to Tiger Woods Golf last night, on the Wii, the comic didn't get finished. So I'll be trying to get it done as soon as I get home today. Which sadly won't be until at least 6:00 EST so keep your fingers crossed that I'm able to get the comic out. I say that because I've also got a basketball game at 9:00 EST. Man I'm a busy person, but then again when you're trying to do all the things that you like to do in a day, one has to sacrifice from time to time.
Charlie
Well good news and bad news on this one.
Good news is that I think I might be posting a comic soon.
Bad news is I think its just going to be a random scribble as I'm not quite ready to get back into the story.
Charlie
Well try as I might every time I'm about to think about creating a comic I freeze, and I end up not getting one done, either because of a game I'm playing, or a multitude of other things. The deal is this, I think that I'm going to have to start small and then build up to something awesome once I've gotten the hang of drawing. The thing I need to keep telling myself is that I'm not going to be drawing Penny Arcade or PVP quality comics over night.
So don't be surprised if you see stick figures that after a while start getting more features.
Charlie
Alright so apparently my OCD perfectionist self won't allow me to just draw stick figures, as you see its still rough, and I still have some working to do, but as you've probably noticed these comics are going to have my inner-monologue going as I'm trying to actually learn how to draw, and not cut and paste.
I can probably still do that if people are interested, but I want to start really drawing. I think that in the long run I can get some serious quality out of it if I stick with it.
Charlie
Alright, I haven't posted a webcomic in a bit, and I apologize. I need to probably go all XKCD on this webcomic and build from there. Now the trick is going to be making it look like how I want it to look.
Charlie
If you haven't noticed I've still yet to post a comic, and I'm sorry. I know that there's a good chunk of the readers out there that are at least interested to see what I crudely drew this time. I'm going to try to attempt getting back to doing something of a comic. I've just been bogged down at the paying job and other activities.
I do want to draw some new stuff, but I have to say that my perfectionist, OCD, self gets really stressed when I don't automatically make anything close to the big time comics. Which I know is completely dumb, but lets face it when you want to eventually get to that spot sometimes you feel like you're never going to make it up that mountain.
Charlie
Alright, looks like I've gotten enough pressure, I'm going to start drawing like I used to, and continue the chronicles of Steve and Hawk... continue to join in on the journey that will now take place, as they go to uncharted island, discover buried treasure, and... no that's not true, its just going to be more shananigans and twists.
This will of course start back up either over the weekend, or starting Monday, so stay tuned... and lets see if I can blow the thick layer of dust that has settled on my tablet
Charlie
I've come to the conclusion that if I try to create a comic any other way that I'm going to be trying to mimic someone out there who is already established. So I've decided that I'm going to stick with how I've done things, and there might be times where I throw a random comic in there, but my bread and butter is the story of Hawk and Steve, and even if it doesn't completely match up whatsoever to the Penny Arcades, the PVPs, the Ctrl+Alt+Dels, etc., I've got something that I think that some people out there enjoy.
So I don't exactly know my release schedule for these guys yet, I'd like to get back to the Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule that it seems everyone and their freaking mother is on, but we'll see how that goes.
Charlie
As you might have already guessed I'm still not exactly on schedule with me comics. I'd love to give you the excuses of the paying job has really screwed me over this week, but we'll just go with when I'm home I've yet to sit in front of my computer for more than 2 minutes. I know my comics are cut and paste jobs, for the most parts, but 2 minutes is amazingly not enough time to create the next comic. I will be trying to accomplish this either tonight, or tomorrow during the day. That is if I'm not somewhere in a coma, after having to, for the second time this week, come in at midnight and work till 7ish.
Charlie
I have to say that looking back into these post from almost 2 years ago is interesting, I'm still struggling to keep things on a schedule but now I'm trying to get 5 comics a week out instead of the 2 or 3 of then. I'd also like to think that I have my own style to the comic now as I'm starting, hopefully, to pick up some steam. I know as one Penny Arcade Forum poster put it... hold on let me get the exact quote for you...
bwanie:
yeah i can't believe you'd feel accomplished with these comics and are left with no resolve how to improve them yourself.
you really don't need us to tell you that they are, basicallly, shit.
That most probably think my stuff is shit, but you know what they aren't the one's who are putting the effort into it, and perhaps they aren't the one's that will ultimately end up liking my comic, so thanks for the criticism, though harsh and slightly juvenile you've at least fueled my fire for a bit and we'll just see what one can do.
Look I know I'm not going to be the next Scott Kurtz, Kris Straub, or Mike Krahulik. I was never setting out to be that, what I set out to do was to create a comic that I thought others might enjoy and have them be able to see how my mind works outside of a game review, or my opinion on the latest gaming news.
Would I love to have the following that those three have? Sure who the hell wouldn't want that, but I also know that they had to start from obscurity and work their magic to get things rolling.
Charlie

I know that some might have noticed that the releases have been off, and I want to apologize for that. I'm trying to transition the releases over to another day to help me alleviate some of my schedule. I'm going to try to get at least one up tonight, and try to get the comics cranking out again. I'm so close to 100 I can taste it, so to speak.
Anyways please keep with us as we continue the ever twisting story that is Hawk and Steve's lives.
